Family Support Team

Our Family Support Team provides support for individuals and families who are having difficulties coping at home but don’t need or want the involvement of Social Services. Our team works to:

  • provide a range of support, from a chat on the phone to one-to-one or family sessions to help families work together to find solutions to their difficulties. Families can access this support whenever and for as long as they think they need it or we agree to work together
  • provide a listening ear, practical help or support to access community services for short or longer periods of time to make life at home better for everyone
  • support New River College with parents/carers identified as needing additional help over the school holidays and during lockdown periods.

Our Family Support Team members are:

  • Jo-anne Lee (Lead for Parent/Carer Partnership)
  • Paul Badham (Senior Family Help Practitioner)
  • Dee Roberts (Family Help Practitioner)
  • Heads of Centre, teachers and tutors – for any day-to-day communication about your child
  • SENCOs (Karen Galvin for Primary, Matt Rogers for Secondary and Felicity King for Medical).
