New River College has been awarded the national Quality in Careers Standard by Prospects in recognition of its outstanding careers work. The standard is awarded to schools and education providers that can demonstrate the importance they place on careers and how they support students to make decisions about their life after school.
Achieving the national Quality in Careers Standard shows how NRC’s headteacher, governors and leadership team embrace, promote and endorse quality careers education and recognise the vital part it plays in the overall success of the school and its students. This is a real achievement as it is something that mostly only mainstream schools achieve: so well done to everyone at NRC.
