Gordon Smith
Outreach Coordinator
Gordon has been working with children and young people across the London areas for over eighteen years. Passionate about Inclusion and exploring personalised ways to meet young peoples' needs, he has held a number of leadership roles within Inclusion, Safeguarding, Pastoral and SEND areas. Having worked within a number of different settings, including Secondary and Specialist provisions, he has a wealth of experience supporting young people to access education and the strategies schools can embed to effectively facilitate this also. Gordon continues to take an active role in educational research, particularly in areas linked with complex and SEMH needs. Gordon is feeling excited and privileged to be working within the Islington community and looks forward to coordinating a quality Outreach service for the schools, young people and families supported by New River College.
