About the Course

At Key Stage 3 students get involved in a range of sports that develop personal fitness and promotes an active, healthy lifestyle. These sports include basketball, football, table tennis, hockey, rugby, badminton and health related fitness.

Students have the opportunity to gain a Young Leader Award. The young leader award is great introduction into leadership, giving learners knowledge of how to organise and lead small games and activities that can be used as part of uniformed organisation, community club or sport club session. This course helps learners develop their leadership skills such as organisation, communication, and teamwork, as well helping to build confidence and self –esteem as they take on the responsibility of leading their peers and/or younger children.
